Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern Your access to and use of the websites, applications, and other services made available by Sitedex (collectively, the “Service”; and “Sitedex,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, You agree to be bound by these Terms. If You do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

The Service permits You to submit a domain for automated analysis. The Service fetches publicly accessible pages on the submitted domain — in the manner of a search-engine crawler — and produces an analysis intended to indicate how readily artificial-intelligence agents can understand its content. The Service is provided for evaluation and informational purposes only. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, for any reason, in our sole discretion.

2. Eligibility and Account

You must be at least eighteen (18) years old to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any credentials associated with Your account and for all activity occurring under Your account. You will provide accurate information when using the Service and will keep it current.

3. Domain Submission and Verification

Anyone may submit a public domain to the Service for analysis. The Service fetches publicly accessible pages of the submitted domain in the manner of a search-engine crawler, and submission does not require any representation of ownership. You bear all risk associated with directing the Service to access any URL.

Sitedex separately offers an optional verification process by which a domain owner may demonstrate control of a domain. Verification grants administrative access to analyses of that domain, including the ability to request additional analyses, manage settings, and access stored content. Only an individual who owns the domain, or who is authorized to act on behalf of its owner, may complete the verification process. You represent and warrant that any verification You complete is accurate, and You are solely responsible for any misrepresentation.

4. License

You grant Sitedex a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to access, fetch, copy, transform, store, and analyze content from any domain You submit to the Service, as we determine necessary or appropriate to operate, maintain, and improve the Service.

5. Our Intellectual Property

The Service is owned by Sitedex or its licensors. Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, all rights are reserved. You will not reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service except to the limited extent permitted by applicable law.

6. Fees and Payment

Some features of the Service are made available on a paid basis. Prices are displayed at checkout. Payment is processed by a third-party payment processor. All fees are non-refundable. We may, in our sole discretion, issue refunds. You are responsible for any taxes associated with Your use of the Service, other than taxes based on our net income.

7. Acceptable Use

You will not, and will not permit anyone else to:

  • use the Service in violation of any applicable law;
  • use the verification process to claim administrative access over a domain You do not own or have authority to act on behalf of;
  • interfere with, disable, or circumvent any feature, security mechanism, or limit of the Service;
  • reverse-engineer or attempt to extract source code, model weights, or other proprietary materials of the Service;
  • use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm any person, or to violate any third party’s rights;
  • resell, redistribute, or repackage the Service or any output without our prior written consent.

We may suspend or terminate Your access to the Service at any time, in our sole discretion, for any reason, including suspected violation of these Terms.

8. Third-Party Content

Pages analyzed through the Service may contain content owned by third parties. We make no representation as to the lawfulness, accuracy, or rights status of such content. If You believe content has been processed by the Service without authorization, contact us at hello@sitedex.dev.

9. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. SITEDEX DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT ANY OUTPUT OF THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR RELIABLE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL SITEDEX BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, EXEMPLARY, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS, REPUTATION, DATA, OR GOODWILL, WHETHER ARISING IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER THEORY, AND WHETHER OR NOT SITEDEX HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SITEDEX’S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100).

The limitations in this Section apply even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Sitedex and its affiliates, officers, agents, and representatives from and against any claim, loss, liability, damage, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to Your use of the Service, Your breach of these Terms, or Your violation of any law or third-party right.

12. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflicts-of-laws principles. The exclusive venue for any action arising out of or relating to these Terms is the state and federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and the parties consent to personal jurisdiction therein.

13. Changes

We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time, in our sole discretion. Material changes to these Terms will be communicated by updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after any change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Miscellaneous

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between You and Sitedex with respect to the Service. If any provision is held unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. No failure or delay by us in exercising any right will operate as a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them without restriction. Notices to us must be sent to hello@sitedex.dev. The parties are independent contractors. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
